Duke MOOC Participants Around the World

Since 2012, over 1.7 million individuals worldwide have enrolled in Duke University MOOCs, earning over 55,000 Statements of Accomplishment or Verified Certificates.
Duke recently surveyed individuals who participated in its MOOCs from Fall 2012 through Spring 2014 to find out how they were using the information they had learned. Of those who responded to the survey, 54% said they were using something they had learned in their professional or educational careers, and 70% said they used something they learned in everyday activities or hobbies.
In addition, Duke asked MOOC students to send in videos telling us something they learned from their course. See some of their responses:
