Data Science Math Skills

“Data Science Math Skills” is an open online course designed to teach learners the basic math they will need in order to be successful in almost any data science math course. The course was developed by Daniel Egger, one of the co-instructors for the Excel to MySQL Coursera Specialization, and is co-taught by Paul Bendich, assistant research professor in Duke’s Mathematics department.

The course was created for individuals with basic math skills who need to learn or relearn algebra and precalculus in order to be successful in the Excel to MySQL Specialization, as well as learners taking other data science courses. Learners who complete the course will master the vocabulary, notation, concepts and algebra rules that all data scientists must know before moving on to more advanced material.
