Frontiers in Global Health, Disability and Rehabilitation (In Development)

Michel Landry, Chief of Duke’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Division, will develop an on-demand open online course on the challenges facing persons with disabilities in low- and middle-income countries. The course is intended to reach a broad range of global learners—persons with disabilities and their family members, global health practitioners, community health workers, students—to learn about social and political issues related to disability and rehabilitation and how to address these problems. The materials developed for the Coursera course will also be used in a Duke elective course for pre-professional rehabilitation students, providing an opportunity to experiment with reusing online modules for Duke courses in global health.
