Innovation & Design for Global Grand Challenges

Alex Dehgan, the Chanler Innovator in Residence at Duke’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative and Duke’s inaugural David Rubenstein Fellow, developed this open online course to equip students to address current global challenges in conservation and development. The course focuses on innovation and design, such as engineering for the developing world and principles of behavior and marketing, and features world-class innovators and entrepreneurs as guest speakers. The course aims to develop a global community of innovators who will help solve the current and future challenges our planet faces to engage individuals in the developing world who have first-person insight into these problems.
