We Need Learners Like You to Evaluate a New Personalized AI Learning Tool
Duke University is excited to announce a pilot program in Coursera focused on learning more about artificial intelligence in online education.
Our team of learning experience designers was invited to provide early feedback on Coursera’s new AI-powered “Dialogue” tool, and now Duke invites you to use the tool and help us better understand how AI tools may affect learning.
The following six courses now have a new interactive, ungraded learning assignment in which you will be able to converse with an AI chatbot to get help assessing your knowledge on specific course topics and receive feedback on their progress:
We completed significant testing with these items before they went live, and we are proud to partner with Coursera, who centers values in their AI decision-making. Now, we want to hear from our learners about what does (or doesn’t) work for them when using AI chatbots in their education. Each course has one AI-powered activity as well as a form to provide feedback about the experience — and AI-use in general.
We welcome you to join the pilot and help us shape the future of learning on Coursera and at Duke. We’re excited about the possibilities to create more hands-on and learning experiences in self-paced courses! If you have questions about this pilot, please contact lile@duke.edu.
