About the program
Duke Divinity School’s outstanding academic programs provide a strong foundation for Christian ministry and leadership, ensuring that students are prepared to serve the church and the world. The Master of Arts in Christian Practice (M.A.C.P.) degree is designed for students to engage in disciplined theological reflection to enrich their Christian service in the church and world. This program is designed primarily for those seeking to enhance lay vocations while remaining in full-time ministry or in other professional positions. The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) program engages pastors and leaders of other Christian institutions in rigorous and imaginative theological reflection as they continue to serve in their current ministerial roles. Combining short on-campus residential seminars with distance learning, this program offers Christian leaders the flexibility they need to earn a doctorate without leaving their positions.
